Meet Devan….

The problem I have with writing an “about photographer” paragraph is I am trying to mask through not poetically telling you how I enjoy the rainy days as much as the sunny days kissed by the clouds. Or how when darkness knocks at my door I sit on the steps with it and have a little chat from the long lost friend, but I dont invite them inside. I am trying to tell you that I had so much passion for the creatives in life …. and long ago that passion was killed in cold blood that I am still recovering from. This passion died out so quickly and when passions die out, parts of you do too, and you seem lost- looking at a map that you clearly drew but you must have drawn it in the dark…. with a broken pencil and half a wish. It wasn’t until I found boudoir, found portrait photography, FOUND my studio and the beauty that lives in it that a fire was lit under my soul again. Not only did I get to witness and grow within my own being and healing journey, but I also get to watch my clients do the same.

If you aren’t into the whimsy of how my soul recaught on fire and now I am busy spreading these wildfires across other souls in the world, then i am inclined to tell you the logistics. I am a mother of 2- I grew up in an incredible ranching community in Montana. I always had a passion for photography, so it was natural after obtaining my degrees in accounting and business management and working in the financial industry for 5 years that I was to find a camera in my hand. After 2 years with my camera, I decided to dive into boudoir, my photography education and the rest is history in writing.
