REAL WOMEN, REAL RAVES

I have always had a hard time with body image. As a plus size girl, seeing all these model type women made it extremely hard to love myself and the body I have.

It took a long time to realize that my mommy body is just as beautiful as anyone else’s. My lumps and bumps and stretch marks make me uniquely me, and I’ve been slowly learning to love every single one of them.

When I showed up for my session with Devan, I didn’t truly know what to expect. I felt awkward at first but not because she made me feel that way. I felt that way because I wasn’t truly comfortable in my own skin. I felt exposed, I felt vulnerable. But by the end of my session (see the photo with the gigantic smile)…I felt absolutely amazing. I felt like I could conquer the world!

I do not have the words to describe just how life changing this session was. I see myself in a completely different way and am forever grateful to this amazing woman for helping me on this journey of self love.

If you are still doubting whether or not you should do a session, JUST DO IT. I promise it is worth it.

I've NEVER seen myself so clearly before. The passion, sexiness (from ALL angles), the absolute fierceness that I almost never feel. All laid out so beautifully in black and red. I have never felt as powerful as when I did this shoot. I was SO nervous, but I decided I was going to be a bad bitch and just embody it. Hair and make-up did my hair and make up, I've always wanted a red lip and man did she DELIVER.

I have so many feelings on being on display like this. For my self or for others. Even my SO.

When looking back on these photos, trying to decide which ones made me look the sexiest or the most flattering, I found myself in love with ALL of them. They’re really me. Not airbrushed snapchat filters that smooth my skin to the point of looking like looking fake. All my dimples, my cellulite.

And DAMN DO I LOOK GOOD!!!

For all my fear and uncertainty, Devan was the BEST person to do these with. Her overall professionalism, humor, the way she contorted herself to show me how to pose, she was there for me 10,000%. And Tali had me looking so fly that I needed to pull over on the way home just for a series of sexy selfie.

I loved working with both of these women and ill forever recommend booking a shoot.
